Recommended Integration

For local payment methods, UseePay strongly recommends using the PaymentIntent API with confirm=true.

This approach creates and confirms the PaymentIntent in a single request, reducing API calls and simplifying the integration.

Integration Flow

Create and Confirm a PaymentIntent

Set the confirm parameter to true when creating a PaymentIntent.

With confirm=true, UseePay will:

Create the PaymentIntent.

Immediately confirm the payment.

Process the payment.

Return the payment result or customer action information, if required.

Handle the Response

Depending on the selected payment method, the response may include:

A redirect URL for customer authorization.

A QR code or payment instructions.

An immediate payment result.

If customer action is required, redirect the customer or display the payment instructions accordingly.

Handle Webhook Notifications

Many local payment methods complete asynchronously.

After the payment is completed, UseePay sends a webhook notification containing the final payment status.

Always use webhook events as the source of truth when updating your order status.

Best Practices

✅ Create the PaymentIntent with confirm=true.

✅ Provide a valid return_url for redirect-based payment methods.

✅ Implement webhook handling for asynchronous payment results.

✅ Do not rely solely on the browser redirect to determine whether a payment has succeeded.
