Alipay+

Type: Aggregated Digital Wallet / Redirect Payment Method

Payment Flow:

Customer selects Alipay+ at checkout.

Customer is redirected to the Alipay+ cashier page.

Customer selects an available wallet and authorizes the payment.

After payment, the customer is returned to the merchant site and the merchant receives the payment result.

Refunds: Supports full, partial, and multiple refunds within 365 days.

Notes:

Consumer countries and currencies are not restricted at the UseePay payment-method level. Actual wallet availability depends on Alipay+ and channel rules for the transaction.

Use alipay as the payment method type when calling the UseePay API. UseePay maps it to the downstream Alipay+ CONNECT_WALLET mode.

payment_method_options is not required and should be omitted.

The authentication timeout is 10 minutes.

The minimum and maximum payment amounts are not restricted.

Does not support recurring payments or separate captures.

When to use Alipay+

Use Alipay+ when the merchant wants to provide a single aggregated payment option for multiple regional digital wallets. After redirection, the Alipay+ cashier displays the wallets available for the specific transaction, and the customer selects a wallet that they already use.

Alipay+ is a good choice when:

The merchant serves customers from multiple countries or regions and does not want to expose a separate payment method for every supported wallet.

The merchant wants the Alipay+ cashier to determine and display the wallets available under the current channel, country, currency, and transaction rules.

The customer may use a supported regional wallet other than Alipay CN or AlipayHK.

Alipay+ is not another consumer wallet app and customers do not install an “Alipay+ app” to pay. It is a wallet gateway and cashier that connects multiple mobile payment providers. The available wallet list is determined dynamically; a particular wallet must not be promised unless it is enabled for the merchant and eligible for the transaction.

Integration Guide

Checkout example

Set payment_method_data.type to alipay when creating the PaymentIntent. Set the billing address to the customer's actual information.

The billing country in this example is HK, but Alipay+ is not limited to Hong Kong.

Response example

When status is requires_customer_action, use next_action.redirect.url to redirect the customer to the Alipay+ cashier page.
